The Environment
Royal Baths Mon Repos opens its doors to all of you to experience unique moments, in a truly beautiful environment. We are waiting for you to enjoy the coffee, the food, the drinks and the high level services from our staff.
History
Mon Repos palace was built in 1831 and is situated on 285 acres of land, only 3 km from Corfu island city center. Through Thucydides scripts it’s were palaiopolis of Corfu is and through Homer’s odyssey is the location where odyssey was washed out and princess Naysica found him. It was bom out of the love commissioner Frederic Adam had for corfiot Nina Palatianou. It was later given to king George A This estate is where prince Philippe of Edinburgh, husband of Queen Elizabeth B, was born. Queen Frederica would spend her time painting on the beach of Mon Repos.
The Royals
Even Empress Sissy of Austria used to live in Mon Repos until her palace in Achileion was built. In 1967 the Mon Repos palace was given to the Greek state.
Former king of Greece, Konstantinos B, used to enjoy his tea with his wife Princess Anne- Marie of Denmark, on the 87 meters imposing piers.
Royal Baths Today
We had the pleasure of renovating the entire area of 5 acres of royal beach, with all our love and respect for its historical and archeological importance. In the 5 acres of land you will find a restaurant, a beach bar as well as a spa area.
We consider every event to be unique and aim to make your dream wedding come true. You can also visit us during your holidays and experience our high quality services in the most idyllic landscape in Corfu island.
